About the Job:The Compliance Analyst supports regulatory and compliance operations, including agent and agency appointments, surplus lines tracking, licensing, contract administration, and administrative support for Surety and Bail teams. This position ensures accurate regulatory documentation, timely communication, and adherence to company and state guidelines.Key Responsibilities:Under general direction, primarily supports regulatory & compliance operations with agent/agency appointments and terminations, surplus lines broker tracking, licensing, contracts, agreements, and invoicing. Supports development and maintenance of compliance reference material, department workflows, processes, and procedures. Additional responsibilities consist of supporting administrative tasks for the Surety and Bail teams.Coordinate and communicate with various parties, including state regulatory agencies, courts, agents, producers, and underwriting staff, to support our underwriting efforts and take appropriate action within designated timeframesParticipate in the company operator functions, directing incoming phone calls to appropriate team channels.Distribute company mail to appropriate team channels through email and/or hard copy USPOST/FEDEX.Receive, review, and process requests for new agent/agency appointments and terminations for the Bail, Surety, and P&C team channels as well as tracking/recording of Surplus Lines Broker licenses.Prepare and assist as requested agent/agency contracts, agreements, and invoices for the Bail team.Support the Surety team, by processing bond cancellations and notify agents, principals, and beneficiaries throughout the process.Ensure quality and timeliness of response to agent and customer inquiries.Ensure electronic and hard copy files are accurately maintained per company and regulatory guidelines.Retrieve and review property valuation reports to aid in the bond underwriting process.Develop personal industry skills and knowledge to meet the company’s culture and expectations of continuous learning and career enrichment.Perform or assist with other duties as assigned.Job Requirements:Minimum high school diploma/GED required.Two years of insurance-related experience preferred.Insurance or Criminal Justice background is a plus.Operational knowledge with the Microsoft Office suite of products and the ability to learn new software as needed.Detail oriented and well organized with good customer service skills in both written and verbal communications.Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and independently as required.Ability to interact collaboratively and collegially with colleagues, agents, and customers in a professional manner.Possess or willingness to obtain a Michigan Notary desired.
