Huntington Learning Center in Bloomingdale is hiring tutors for ACT/SAT instruction in English, Math, Reading or Science. We are looking for dedicated teachers to help our students reach a brighter future Candidates should possess the following qualities:Responsibility and dependability.Enthusiasm and flexibility.Professionalism.Openness to working with students of various ages and competency levels.Benefits:Hours available weekdays after school and Saturdays + Sundays 9-1.No lesson plans to create or homework to grade.Teacher certification not necessary; excellent opportunity for professionals from ANY industry.Paid initial and ongoing training.Always 1-1 instruction.Flexible schedules (4-20 hours per week).Wonderful work environment.Job Requirements:Part-time evening and/or weekend availability.College degree required.Type 09 teaching certification is a plus, but is not required for those with Mathematics, Science or Writing expertise (verified by completion of an assessment test).Experience:Relevant: 1 year (Preferred).Teaching: 1 year (Preferred).Hours:Monday to Thursday. 3 PM to 8 PM.Saturdays 9 AM to 3 PM.Sundays 10 AM to 4 PM.Job Responsibilities:Responsibilities include, teaching students, implementing curriculum, communicating student needs to full-time staff, and creating a positive and supportive environment for our students.We offer paid initial and ongoing training in Huntington teaching methods and our highly developed curriculum.
