Automotive Technician – First Automotive | Liverpool, NYMonday–Friday | 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM | 1-Hour Lunch | No WeekendsThis is not a stepping-stone shop. This is not an apprentice role. This is not flat-rate chaos.At First Automotive, we’re looking for an A-level Automotive Technician who takes pride in diagnosing correctly, documenting clearly, and fixing vehicles right the first time.If you’re the tech other people come to when they’re stuck—and you’re tired of sloppy inspections, rushed jobs, and unrealistic expectations—keep reading.What You’ll Be Trusted to Do (Because at this level, micromanagement isn’t necessary.):Diagnose root causes accurately before parts are ordered.Perform advanced repairs to manufacturer and industry standards.Complete required road tests to confirm concerns and validate repairs.Produce high-quality Digital Vehicle Inspections (DVIs) with:Clear photosMeasurements (brakes, tires, battery, etc.)Arrows and concise, professional notes that support recommendationsVerify torque specs, fluid levels, calibrations, and resets—every time.Communicate findings clearly with the Service Advisor.Catch issues early and speak up before they become problems.Hand vehicles back clean, correct, and road-ready.You’ll be expected to lead by example—because other techs will watch how you work.Why This Shop Works for A-Techs:No weekends.Predictable schedule: 7:30–5:00 with a real 1-hour lunch.Diagnostics and inspections are valued, not rushed.Advisors sell based on your documentation—not guesswork.Clear SOPs, clean bays, and professional standards.Steady workflow without constant fire drills.Locally owned, professionally run, growing the right way.We care more about comebacks and credibility than beating you up over hours.Who We’re Looking For (this role is for technicians who already have):Strong diagnostic ability across drivability, electrical, brakes, suspension, and general repair.Professional documentation habits—photos, notes, and measurements are non-negotiable.A safety-first mindset and respect for customer property.Confidence working independently while communicating clearly with the team.Comfort using shop technology (AutoVitals, Protractor) or the ability to learn quickly.A valid driver’s license and clean driving record.ASE certifications are welcome—but results and habits matter more than patches.Schedule & Compensation:Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM1-hour lunchCompetitive pay appropriate for A-level skillsPaid training and continuing education (40 hours annually)Overtime only when authorized—not expected as a lifestyleWhat This Job Is NOT:Not a “guess-and-go” shopNot a place where inspections are optionalNot a shop that tolerates sloppy work, weak diagnostics, or poor communicationIf you cut corners, this won’t be a fit.
