Assist speech-language pathologists in the assessment and treatment of speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders. Implement speech and language programs or activities as planned and directed by speech-language pathologists.Guaranteed Salary whether patients reschedule, cancels, or no show  We take care of our team so they can take care of our patients We are looking for fantastic SLPAs (and SLPs) to join a close- knit team of brilliant and caring STs and OTs in a Private Practice   Responsibilities of the Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant:Assist speech-language pathologists in the conduct of client screenings of language, articulation, and hearing.Implement treatment plans or protocols as directed by speech-language pathologists.Assist speech-language pathologists in the remediation or development of speech and language skills.Collect and compile data to document clients' performance and assess program quality.Perform support duties such as preparing materials and maintaining supplies.Note: The Speech and Language Assistant is NOT able to conduct evaluations, interpret data, alter treatment plans or perform any task without the express knowledge and approval of the supervising SLP.Education Level:Bachelor's (Required)License/Certification:California SLPA License (Required)Medical Specialities:Pediatrics SLPA Experience: Must have 1-2 years experience Desired Skills: Active Listening -- Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.Organization and Time Management SkillsWhy IICA: Diverse caseloadCo-treat with OTsLevels of mentorshipOnsite supervisionLimited paperworkOpportunity for career advancementAnnual review of professional goals and salaryProfessional development allowance including CE reimbursement and clinic hosted eventsOpportunities for advancementSalary Range:  $35,000 - $40,000Schedule:  Part-time weekday afternoons (2 p.m. to 7 p.m.) Benefits:401(k) with matchingEmployee assistance programEmployee discountsFlexible schedulePaid time offPaid holidays5 Sick days annuallyRetirement planLicense reimbursementCPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification annually  About IICA Speech: IICA Speech was formed in 2004 by founder, Amy Haught. We currently have a clinical staff of 17 with lots of support from our admin team of 10.
