Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Location: Remote, with flexibility for candidates based in Connecticut. Company: The Buller Group LLC.About the Company:The Buller Group LLC is a dynamic, privately held real estate and investment firm overseeing a diverse portfolio that includes industrial, office, and multifamily properties across 11 states. In addition to real estate, the company manages operating businesses in manufacturing and distribution in the USA, Canada and abroad, and is in the process of establishing a private trust company. The candidate will work for the newly created private trust company.Position Overview:The Buller Group, LLC is seeking a strategic, analytical, and forward-thinking Chief Financial Officer. This is a unique opportunity to lead financial operations across multiple entities, including a private trust company, real estate holdings, investment portfolios, and operating businesses. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of creativity, financial acumen, and leadership experience.Key Responsibilities:Serve as a strategic advisor to the Chief Operating Officer, managing a substantial and diverse set of assets.Oversee financial operations for multiple entities including:Real estate portfolio.Manufacturing and distribution companies.Private trust company.Equities, bonds, insurance policies, annuities.Renewable energy investments.Lead financial strategy, planning, and analysis across all holdings.Evaluate investment opportunities, including start-ups and deals involving tax credits.Implement systems for financial reporting.Work in collaboration with the Controller.Manage relationships with financial institutions and external partners.Support the development of a family office-style management structure.Qualifications:Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting required.CPA or MBA in Finance strongly preferred.Experience in private equity, investment management, or family office environments.Proven ability to manage complex financial portfolios and evaluate investment opportunities.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.Excellent communication and leadership abilities.Experience in the building materials or real estate industry is a plus.Ideal Candidate Profile:A rising CFO or experienced Controller ready to take the next step.Creative thinker with a hands-on approach to financial leadership.Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.Based in Connecticut with remote working capabilities.
