The Controller will be responsible for overseeing all accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance activities. This role will play a critical part in supporting the company’s financial health and long-term growth objectives.Key Responsibilities:Manage and lead the accounting team, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.Prepare timely and accurate financial statements, reports, and analyses in accordance with GAAP.Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes.Develop and monitor internal controls to ensure the integrity of financial reporting and safeguard company assets.Coordinate and support annual audits and tax filings.Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial projections in collaboration with senior leadership.Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations.Work closely with other departments to support operational and strategic decision-making.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years in a Controller or senior accounting leadership role.Experience in the produce, food distribution, or manufacturing industry is a plus.Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; experience with systems integration and upgrades is a plus.Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.Compensation & Benefits:Competitive salary based on experience.Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance.Paid time off and holidays.Opportunity for career growth within a dynamic and growing organization.
