The Front Office Receptionist is responsible for greeting, scheduling appointments and maintaining records and account in a Healthcare Management System. This includes, but not limited to:Verifies patient information and accurately updates demographics and insurance information.  Confirms purpose of visit obtains reports or x-rays performed at other facilities.Prepares patient encounters for future appointments and obtains all necessary medical documentation that is needed for the patient's visit.Schedules future appointments for patients.Collects co-payments and balances on patient's accounts.Represents the practice in a professional, customer-focused manner with an emphasis on service excellence.  Some related experience in an orthopedic/medical setting helpful but not required.
