The ideal candidate will create a warm, responsive, and stimulating environment to support early developmental milestones.Job Quick Facts:ID: BD-1173-03. Profession: Education. Specialty: Infant Teacher. Facility Type: K–12 / Head Start Centers. Job Type: Contract (Substitute). Shift Schedule: On-site, up to 8 hours/day (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM). Rate: $23-25/hr.Requirements: Minimum 24 ECE units, including 3 units in infant/toddler development. California Child Development Teacher Permit. Current Pediatric CPR and First Aid certifications. Mandated Reporter and Integrated Germ Management certifications. Current documentation of TB test, measles, pertussis, COVID-19, and influenza immunizations. Must pass CA DOJ and FBI background check and fingerprint clearance.Responsibilities:Provide nurturing care and age-appropriate learning experiences for infants and toddlers. Maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating environment promoting exploration and growth. Support children’s emerging communication, motor, and social skills. Implement individualized care routines, including feeding, diapering, and rest schedules. Document developmental milestones and communicate with families and supervisors. Adhere to Head Start Performance Standards, health and safety protocols, and district policies. Collaborate with assistant teachers and site staff to ensure quality care and supervision. Any other duties as assigned.
