To learn more about us, please visit www.thearcofpgc.org.SAMHSA’s Healthy Transitions Grant Description:The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) Healthy Transitions grant was awarded to improve and expand access to developmentally, culturally, and linguistically appropriate services and supports for transition-aged youth and young adults (ages 16-25) who either have, or are at risk for developing, serious mental health conditions.Position Summary:Reporting to the Program Director, the Outreach Coordinator will lead our community engagement efforts in Prince George’s County, nurturing existing relationships and establishing new ones. This position will require the coordination of community events, workshops, and appearances to enhance the visibility of the Healthy Transitions program, requiring excellent communication and public speaking skills. This full-time, in-person role values a background in mental health and requires regular travel within the county, so reliable transportation is necessary.Normal working hours/days: Monday-Friday, Evenings, and weekends.Pay rate: 52,000 Annually (Grant Funded).Responsibilities:Deliver clear and engaging presentations to diverse audiences.Build relationships and gather insights by networking before and after presentations.Maintain a detailed digital calendar of outreach activities, ensuring alignment with grant goals.Coordinate logistics and scheduling for community events, workshops, and public appearances.Develop and nurture relationships with community partners and stakeholders.Identify new opportunities for collaboration and community engagement.Work with the marketing and communications team to promote outreach efforts across multiple channels, including social media.Create and distribute materials to support outreach initiatives and increase visibility.Gather feedback from participants to measure the success of outreach activities and identify areas for improvement.Regularly assess outreach strategies and recommend improvements as needed.Working Conditions:As an Outreach Coordinator, you will enjoy a dynamic work environment, balancing time between the office and the community. Familiarity with basic office equipment is required (e.g. computer, facsimile, copier, postage machines, etc.). When out in the community, you will have the opportunity to engage directly with diverse groups and individuals, fostering meaningful connections and advancing program objectives.
