  • Must be proficient in PowerShell, Azure CLI, and automation tools applicable to infrastructure management.
  • Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a DOE clearance

Peraton is seeking an on?site Systems Administrator to support the DOE Office of Science on the CBOSS 2.0 contract, operating and maintaining on?premises, cloud?based, and hybrid infrastructure with a focus on service availability, performance, and security. Responsibilities include:

  • Operate and monitor physical and cloud?based infrastructure, including compute, storage, virtualization, and application platforms.
  • Provide operational support for back and restore processes in line with OIMs Recovery Time Objectives (RTOs) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPOs).
  • Monitor cloud security configurations and provide recommendations for corrective action when needed.
  • Detect and resolve bottlenecks and outages in a timely manner based on priority and SLAs.
  • Track and report on capacity utilization, resource consumption (e.g., Azure cost usage), proactive scaling recommendations.
  • Maintain and post records such as maintenance logs, preventive maintenance plans, backup validation history, and asset inventories.
  • Maintain and update the CMDB to ensure accurate tracking of CIs and dependencies.
  • Submit all changes for review and approval.
  • Perform and document system, application, and infrastructure patching in accordance with OIM policy.
