About the Role

Lead the strategy that protects our products, customers, and brand. Guide QAFS teams across multiple facilities, elevate compliance, and drive continuous improvement in Quality and Food Safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and strengthen Quality Systems across regional facilities; partner closely with plant leadership.
• Ensure all sites remain audit-ready and fully compliant with regulatory, GFSI, and customer requirements.
• Drive QAFS improvement initiatives and contribute to cross-functional projects that enhance products and processes.
• Partner with Sales, Product Development, Operations, and customers to support product launches, improvements, and proactive issue resolution.
• Oversee customer/consumer complaint investigations and ensure effective corrective actions.
• Analyze Quality and Food Safety metrics to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Stay current on emerging science and technology to elevate QAFS practices.
• Provide temporary leadership coverage for facility QA roles when needed.
• Manage departmental expenses responsibly and seek cost-effective system enhancements.
• Collaborate with QAFS Directors and QA Managers to share best practices and ensure timely issue resolution.
• Perform other duties as assigned; travel up to 25%.
  

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, or related field.
• 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in Quality and Food Safety within plant/operations environments.
• HACCP and PCQI certifications preferred; auditing experience a plus.
• Strong technical depth in RTE foods, microbiology, raw protein, and/or USDA FSIS-regulated operations preferred.
• Proven analytical abilityskilled in interpreting data, identifying trends, and driving improvement.
• Excellent communicator capable of translating complex technical information for diverse audiences; bilingual skills a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
