About This RoleThe Assistant Project Manager Transmission will support planning, coordination, and execution of high-voltage electric transmission projects. Working closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and field leadership, you will help ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget. Candidates with experience in transmission line construction or utility construction are strongly preferred.
What You'll Do- Project Scheduling & Coordination: Assist with development and maintenance of detailed project schedules and coordinate mobilization and execution with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
- Estimating & Documentation: Support estimators with take-offs, submittals, and proposal preparation; draft and track RFIs; participate in client and internal meetings.
- Project Tracking & Reporting: Maintain logs of updates, delays, permits, and right-of-way progress; prepare regular status reports highlighting risks and progress.
- Team & Administrative Support: Provide direct support to PMs and Superintendents; coordinate timesheets, expense reports, invoices, and procurement documentation.
- Equipment & Materials Management: Track project equipment rentals, relocations, and consumables; support procurement and delivery to field sites.
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
- 03 years of experience in construction project coordination, preferably in transmission or utility construction.
- General knowledge of transmission site processes, including permitting, right-of-way, and crew logistics.
- Strong computer proficiency, scheduling software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Understanding of billing processes, AP and AR.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in both office and field environments.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
