Apartment Maintenance Technician - Model Tobacco (Richmond, VA)

Model Tobacco, a premier residential property in Richmond, VA, is seeking a skilled and dependable Service Technician to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate is experienced in residential maintenance, customer-focused, and thrives working both independently and as part of a team.

At WPM Real Estate Management, our Service Technicians play a vital role in ensuring our communities remain safe, functional, and welcoming. In this position, you'll be responsible for:

  • Responding to resident maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner
  • Performing preventative maintenance as directed
  • Preparing units for new residents (turns/make-readies)
  • Completing general maintenance tasks and repairs
  • Handling basic appliance repairs
  • Keeping property grounds clean, orderly, and safe
  • Participating in a rotating on-call schedule for after-hours emergencies

What We're Looking For:

  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Proven skills in general maintenance, including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliance repair
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • High attention to detail and commitment to safety

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 35 years of experience in residential or commercial maintenance
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Availability for on-call rotation, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
