We are seeking a Family Practice Physician for a 60-day locum tenens assignment in California, starting Mar 30, 2026. This opportunity features day shifts, Monday through Friday, with an 8am to 5pm schedule. The assignment involves working with a diverse patient population, including a high proportion of Spanish-speaking patients and those with Medical/Medicaid coverage.

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm
Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provide comprehensive primary care to patients in a Family Practice setting
  • Deliver care to a patient population that is approximately 75 percent Spanish-speaking, with support from translators and bilingual medical assistants
  • Manage a patient panel with 78 percent Medical/Medicaid coverage
  • Utilize Epic EMR for patient documentation and workflow
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant clinical protocols and guidelines
Additional Information
  • Locum experience is required
  • Experience in FQHC, Rural Health, or IHS settings is preferred
  • Recent experience in a Family Practice setting is mandatory; Internal Medicine and Pediatrics-only experience will not be accepted
  • Must possess an active California medical license, DEA registration, and furnishing license
  • Required board certification in Family Medicine
  • Providers should be prepared to discuss any anticipated time off prior to assignment
