Provide distributive pharmacy services and technical support for the pharmacist.
Candidates should have at least three years of retail experience. This role involves a high volume of data entry, and applicants must be able to meet daily performance metrics.
Provide accurate data entry, prescription processing, and technical support for the pharmacist within the remote home-delivery pharmacy environment.
Enter and process new prescriptions with a high degree of accuracy while following all state and federal regulations.
Perform benefits verification and adjudicate claims, resolving rejections by identifying the appropriate next steps.
Initiate and support prior authorization requests, including gathering clinical information, submitting forms, and following up with providers and payers as needed.
Communicate with patients by phone to provide updates, clarify prescription details, obtain missing information, and ensure excellent customer service.
Coordinate with prescribers' offices to request clarifications, missing information, and PA-related documentation.
Document all interactions, findings, and interventions in accordance with policy and workflow standards.
Serve as a liaison between the pharmacy, patient, insurance plans, and healthcare providers to ensure timely and accurate medication delivery.
Maintain required daily and quarterly productivity metrics, including data entry accuracy, call center standards, adjudication efficiency, and error-rate goals.
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) preferred. Must possess all state and local qualifications.
Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the National Healthcareer Association preferred. Must possess all state and local qualifications.
Education:
High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
