Purpose

This position is responsible for assisting with various accounting tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Monitoring accounts receivable summary for delinquency through related reports on a daily basis
  • Researching and responding to all accounts receivable inquiries in a prompt manner.
  • Initiating appropriate collection activity via past due notices, telephone, and email correspondence.
  • Recommending accounts for collection escalation
  • Processing customer credit applications
  • Initiating, tracking, and maintaining all records/files associated with collection activities for each account.
  • Perform daily bank account reconciliation, reconcile credit card statements
  • Validate transactions related to our Payables or Receivables teams.
  • Record monthly, quarterly, and annual Tax expense entries.
  • Perform month-end closure tasks.
  • Perform account and period reporting to financial leadership as needed.
  • Perform general accounting team functions, data entry, analysis, and administrative duties as required.
  • Maintaining accurate customer information in the database.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School degree or equivalent. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent a plus
  • Minimum one year of accounting experience.
  • Understanding of accounting basics.
  • Possess the highest standards of accuracy and attention to detail in a dynamic, multitasking environment.
  • Must possess the organizational skills needed to manage time well, prioritize effectively and handle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment while displaying a positive, high-energy attitude.
  • Must be very computer savvy to work in multiple systems.
  • Knowledge of the Prophet21 (P21) is preferred.
  • Highly proficient in MS Excel and use of spreadsheets
  • Skilled in MS Word and Outlook.
