IU Health Medical Group has an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse Navigator to join our Pain Navigation/Pain Rehabilitation Program service line This role will work Monday-Friday, day shift and enjoy a balanced work schedule with no weekend, holiday, or on-call duties

Position Overview:

As the Nurse Navigator, you will play a vital role in coordinating the care for our patients, developing personalized care plans in collaboration with patients and their primary care providers. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely delivery of tests and treatments
  • Advocating for patients and balancing their care needs with financial considerations
  • Educating patients about the pain program; provides scheduled education to patients on a multitude of factors that affect their chronic pain.
  • Triaging referred patients.
  • Managing care delivery across the patient care continuum for new patients
  • Coordinates Scrambler Therapy Clinic (A device that treats different types of chronic conditions)
Qualifications:
  • Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN).
  • Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
  • Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program. 3-5 years of experience preferred.
  • Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
  • Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
  • Specialty certifications may be required per unit/department specialty in accordance with the department provision of care.
  • Requires knowledge of personal computers using various types of word processing and database software.
  • Requires clinical work experience, medical terminology.
  • Requires understanding of medical record requirements, regulations and policies.
  • Experience with education and navigating complex conditions preferred.
  • Pain management experience preferred, but not required.
