Purpose and role of job:

Responsible for focusing on the practical, hands-on aspects of equipment maintenance, repair, and improvement, often involving physical labor and technical skills.

Principal Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance, diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions, and ensure equipment is in optimal working condition.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues with equipment.
  • Repair mechanical components of all equipment as required; in some instances, performing physically demanding tasks.
  • Operate and maintain various types of machinery, tools, and equipment used in the manufacturing process.
  • Identify design and process limitations and develop and implement solutions.
  • Fabricate and assemble parts made for projects, machine upgrades or emergency breakdowns.
  • Design small retrofit assemblies to improve production equipment.
  • Observe all safety rules and use the proper safety equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Follow necessary GMP, FDA, and ISO regulations.
  • Additional duties as required.
Education and experience requirements:
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Prior manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Mechanical knowledge of all machinery, equipment, and components.
  • Operational knowledge of manufacturing processes, including ultrasonics, hot melt adhesive system, core formation, and web handling preferred.
  • Experience with 3D modeling software - specifically Autodesk Inventor preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Detail Oriented.
  • Proficient with hand tools and power tools.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
