Accounts Payable Specialist

Jobot is a growing logistics company looking for an AP Specialist to join our dynamic finance team. This is a contract position for 6 months with the possibility of extension.
Salary: $25 $35 per hour.

- Accurately code and process invoices, ensuring proper documentation and approvals
- Perform vendor set?up and maintenance in the accounting system
- Conduct reconciliation of vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Prepare and process payments (checks, ACH, wire transfers)
- Assist with month?end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve payment?related issues
- Use VLOOKUP and pivot tables in Microsoft Excel to analyze data and identify trends
- Maintain accurate and up?to?date records and files related to accounts payable transactions
- 2+ years of experience as an accounts payable clerk or similar role
- Strong understanding of debits and credits and general accounting principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record?keeping
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast?paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work collaboratively with cross?functional teams
- Experience with vendor set?up and maintenance in an accounting system
- Knowledge of account reconciliation and journal entry preparation
- Bachelors degree in accounting or related field preferred but not required
