ROLE SUMMARYAs a member of the RTMDS build team you will be supporting automation and production deployments, planning and testing builds alongside working with core engineering and development to develop functionality and resolve production deployment issues. You will also be responsible for test configurations, automation and deliver infrastructure. In addition to delivering to customers with excellence, reliability, sustainability and predictability. To achieve success you will need to be committed, accountable, analytical, work well in a team and reactive to service?impacting issues.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING- Supporting a private cloud hosting many hundreds of customers who historically led their own market data networks.
- Involved in platform management ensuring compliance with standards and patching levels in production.
- Developing inventory to build new infrastructure and support RTMDS architecture to create a stable environment.
- Resolving complex issues with build process, RTDS software configurations, inventory, hardware, custom configuration and providing fix?forwards.
- Documenting processes and procedures.
- Ensuring suitable monitoring is in place for production systems and working with core engineering to develop new monitoring.
- Working with development and engineering teams to produce complex automation to deliver mass infrastructure.
- Assisting development teams to deliver functionality and resolve issues with their products.
- Working with QE teams to maintain CI inventory production pipelines with suitable testing to avoid issues and repeated failures.
- Working with network teams to test WAN and LAN delivery.
- Knowledge of RHEL and automated application deployment.
- Experience with automation tools such as Rundeck and advanced scripting with languages like Python, workflow tools such as ServiceNow and Jira, and development tools such as Git and DX1.
- Nice to have experience of Python, HPE Synergy, ITRS, BigPanda and HPE Oneview.
