Medical Assistant

The Medical Assistant will be responsible for rooming patients and preparing rooms for patient visits. This role involves collecting information from patients and entering data into the EMR system. The clinic provides a range of care including chiropractic, alternative medicine, spine care, and pain management. The Medical Assistant may also receive training to set up rooms for procedures in specialty areas.

Responsibilities:

• Room patients and prepare examination rooms for visits.
• Collect and input patient information into the EMR system.
• Assist in setting up rooms for various procedures in specialty areas.
• Support chiropractic, alternative medicine, spine care, and pain management services.

Essential Skills:

• Experience in medical assisting.
• Proficiency with Epic EMR system.
• Certified Medical Assistant certification preferred or equivalent medical training such as military medical training.
• At least 1 year of experience is preferred.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience in scheduling is advantageous.
• Experience with medical procedures is a plus.

Work Environment:

The position is based in Wauwatosa, with occasional coverage needed in Menomonee Falls. Work hours are Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The environment offers learning and growth opportunities as it is part of a teaching hospital.

This is a contract position based out of Wauwatosa, WI.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
