Stocking and Inventory Lead

Position OverviewThe Stocking and Inventory Lead keeps our warehouse running smoothly by managing where products are stored, ensuring shelves stay stocked, and handling incoming shipments. This position is responsible for knowing exactly what inventory we have and where it's located. You'll work hands-on to organize our warehouse space efficiently, move products where they need to be, and maintain accurate inventory records.Salary & Schedule$26-30/hr based on experienceMonday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (some flexibility available)Inver Grove Heights, MNEssential ResponsibilitiesInventory ManagementMaintain comprehensive knowledge of inventory locations and quantities across warehouseManage overstock areas with systematic organization for easy retrievalPerform regular cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracyDevelop and implement improved inventory organization systemsAudit overstock inventory logs to ensure accuracyStock ReplenishmentProactively monitor shelf stock levels to prevent stockoutsProcess daily lists of items needed for fulfillmentRetrieve and replenish inventory from overstock to active picking locationsPlan and execute strategic stock movements to optimize warehouse spaceCoordinate with fulfillment team to understand inventory needs and prioritiesProperly organize and store inventory in appropriate locationsReceiving OperationsProperly organize and store newly received inventory in appropriate overstock locationsLead the receiving process for all incoming shipmentsVerify accuracy of received merchandise against purchase ordersReport discrepancies in received merchandiseWarehouse OperationsOperate and maintain forkliftMaintain organized and clean overstock and storage areasSupport shipping and fulfillment functions during peak periodsParticipate in warehouse improvement initiativesPerform additional warehouse duties as business needs requireRequired QualificationsWarehouse experience with focus on inventory and receiving operationsForklift certification or demonstrated proficiency with forkliftsExperience with inventory tracking systems and Excel spreadsheetsStrong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skillsAbility to work independently and take initiativeProblem-solving skills and proactive approach to inventory managementPhysical ability to perform regular lifting, moving, and warehouse activitiesSkills & CompetenciesExceptional organizational abilitiesStrong attention to detail and accuracySelf-motivation and ability to work independentlyProblem-solving and analytical thinkingEffective communication skillsAdaptability to changing prioritiesTime management and efficiencyPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift and move up to 40 pounds regularlyStand and walk for extended periods throughout warehouseBend, stoop, reach, and climb regularlyGrowth OpportunitiesOpportunity to build and lead a team as operations scaleContribute to process development and improvementBe part of a fast-growing company with increasing responsibilities
