Also assist patients in selecting appropriate adaptive equipment and assistive devices when necessary. This position fulfills these responsibilities while integrating company values into daily practice./ppThis position is full time day shift./ppJob duties include, but are not limited to:/pulliPerforms patient assessment and establishes plan of care and treatment goals, then assesses the effectiveness of treatment and modifies treatment when appropriate keeping in mind the educational and cultural needs of the patient, family, caregiver, or significant other and communicates accordingly to achieve maximum benefit of care./liliPrepares plans for discharge./liliCoordinates with interdisciplinary team on patient needs, treatment modifications, and progress; applying appropriate standards, policies and procedures and guidelines in caring for patients./liliProvides an environment conducive to safety for patients, visitors, and staff. Assesses the risks for safety and implements appropriate precautions. Complies with appropriate and approved safety and Infection Control standards./liliMay be required to work during inclement weather and other staffing emergencies./li/ulpRequirements for consideration:/pulliTwo years direct patient occupational therapy care and treatment experience preferred./liliExperience in rehabilitation hospital setting preferred, we welcome recent graduates to apply/liliCurrent state licensure as an Occupational Therapist in good standing is required./liliBasic Life Support/CPR required./li/ulpWe value our employees skills, talents and input.
