Job Title: Global AP Manager I Disbursement Operations (Contract)

Contract Duration: Minimum 6 months

Location: New York, NY and Morristown, NJ

About the Role

We are looking for a strategic and people-focused Global Accounts Payable Manager to lead disbursement operations across multiple regions. This is a leadership and governance role, not a transactional position. You will guide a global team, partner closely with Treasury, maintain process integrity, and ensure accurate, timely, and compliant vendor payments across the organization.

This role is ideal for an experienced AP leader who excels in team development, process optimization, and cross-functional collaboration.

What Youll Do

Leadership & Strategy

  • Lead a global AP disbursement team, setting a clear operational direction and ensuring team proficiency.
  • Drive accountability, process consistency, and strong governance across regions.
  • Provide coaching, resources, and support to empower team members.
  • Delegate effectively, ensuring balanced workloads and on-time execution.

Operational Oversight

  • Oversee end-to-end AP disbursement governance and compliance.
  • Partner with Treasury on funding, approvals, and payment scheduling.
  • Monitor AP aging and resolve discrepancies in partnership with AP Operations.
  • Maintain and enforce SOPs, ensuring alignment with outsourced partners.
  • Lead issue resolution, closing the loop with stakeholders and communicating updates proactively.
  • Collaborate closely with the APAC AP Manager and AP Operations Manager for seamless global execution.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressive Accounts Payable experience with strong exposure to disbursement and payment processes.
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams in a global or multi-region AP environment.
  • Strong understanding of AP cycles, compliance, and Treasury collaboration.
  • Experience working with outsourced AP teams or third-party vendors.
  • Excellent communication skills; proficiency in English required for global coordination.
  • Bachelors degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • ERP experience: Microsoft Dynamics preferred; SAP/Oracle acceptable.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office applications.
  • Strong vendor management, customer service mindset, and business partnering skills.
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities and consistent follow-through on issues and deadlines.
