Systems Analyst Key Responsibilities

• Plan, design, develop, test, coordinate, and implement efficient information and operations systems to support core organizational functions.
• Utilize reporting tools to create or modify database reports, automate reports, and update databases for operational efficiency.
• Provide consulting and advice to business units on solution design, system management, enterprise reporting, data ETL, and process automation.
• Collaborate with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define business requirements for report generation, data extraction, and automation.
• Write programming scripts to enhance application functionality and performance.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with reporting and data ETL processes.
• Liaise with suppliers and operational staff for quality assurance and prompt issue resolution.
• Communicate and live Royal Credit Union's core purpose, values, and organizational culture daily.
  

Systems Analyst II Key Responsibilities

• Lead the utilization of business intelligence tools to create or modify information for data-driven decisions and automate repetitive processes.
• Mentor other analysts and create training programs for new analysts.
• Lead planning discussions with business units on solution design, system management, reporting, data ETL, and process automation.
• Plan, design, develop, test, integrate, and deploy processes to meet reporting and data needs.
• Collaborate with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define business requirements.
• Lead review sessions to analyze and improve existing reporting, database query, and automation strategies.
• Create and review programming scripts to enhance functionality and performance.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with reporting and data ETL processes.
• Assist with quality assurance, program logic, and prompt rectification of issues.
• Communicate and live Royal Credit Union's core purpose, values, and organizational culture daily.
  

Required Qualifications Systems Analyst

• Bachelors Degree in business, computer science, MIS, or comparable work experience.
• Two (2) years relational database reporting and analysis experience.
• Experience in gathering and analyzing business requirements.
  

Required Qualifications Systems Analyst II

• Bachelors Degree or the equivalent in experience in business, computer science, MIS.
• Five (5) years relational database reporting work experience.
• Two (2) years Royal Credit Union processes and services experience.
• Demonstrated experience in gathering and analyzing business requirements.
  

Knowledge, Skills, And Competencies (Both Roles)

• Familiarity with relational database models, query languages (PL/SQL, TSQL), SQR, XML, TFS, SSIS, VBA, MS Office, C#, .Net, and database management systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to mentor, train, and clearly communicate new processes and procedures.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to define and solve practical problems, analyze data, and coordinate multiple priorities in high-volume environments.
• Experience in reviewing, enhancing, and automating reporting and data ETL processes for operational efficiency.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills; able to resolve controversy, learn new technologies, and work effectively with team members and vendors.
• Ability to function in high-volume environments and within time constraints to meet deadlines.
• Must be able to travel occasionally for All-Team meetings (less than 20%).
  

Work Schedule & Training

• Full-Time, salaried. Hours and shifts vary between 8am-5pm Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend hours are required to assist with system issues.
