Role Summary

CK Transportation is hiring professional Class A CDL A Drivers in the Detroit area for regional driving opportunities that emphasize structure, dependability, and consistent work patterns. Drivers in this position operate within a defined regional network designed to support steady mileage while maintaining predictable weekly home time. The role is suited for drivers who value reliability, organized routes, and a steady workflow.

Home Time & Schedule

Drivers run a Monday through Friday schedule, returning home each weekend for a minimum 48-hour reset. Assigned routes operate throughout the Northeast and surrounding corridors, providing a balanced blend of steady travel time and regular home access. The schedule is intentionally designed to minimize variability and promote stable weekly planning.

Compensation Structure

Weekly earnings average between $1,250 and $1,450. The compensation program includes an eligibility-based weekly minimum of $1,200, which helps protect income during periods when freight volume or operational conditions may vary. Drivers receive weekly Friday pay, supporting continuity in financial organization.

Key Responsibilities

This position requires safe and efficient operation of Class A CDL A equipment across regional lanes. Drivers handle time-sensitive freight, maintain adherence to safety regulations, complete logs and documentation, and coordinate with dispatch regarding schedules and route updates. Professional communication and consistent on-time performance are important components of the role.

Equipment Details

Drivers use late-model Freightliner Cascadias, 2019 or newer, outfitted with features intended to improve comfort and performance on the road. Tractors include automatic transmissions, APUs, inverters, refrigerators, double bunks, SiriusXM functionality, and TV accommodations. The fleet is maintained to support dependable and comfortable operation throughout regional routes.

Experience Requirements

Applicants must be 21 years of age or older and meet at least one of the following experience criteria: three months of OTR experience within the last year; six months of OTR or local experience within the past year; or one year of OTR experience within the last three years.

Orientation Process

Orientation lasts approximately 2.5 days and includes provided hotel lodging, covered meals, and $500 in orientation pay. The process is designed to ensure a smooth introduction to company procedures and route expectations.
