Job Summary: Under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, the pharmacy technician assists in all aspects of the drug distribution, billing, and patient record keeping processes in the provision of pharmaceutical care.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provides drug distribution, compounds intravenous solutions, performs clerical functions, packages medications, operates departmental equipment, maintains departmental systems, complies with standards of employee conduct, obtains labs, provides clinical support to the pharmacist, interprets prescriptions, and prepares prescriptions for dispensing.

Education and Experience: High school diploma, 1 to 2 years of prior pharmacy experience preferred, 6-12 weeks on the job training required, medical terminology knowledge preferred, licensed or qualify for license in the State of Indiana, and requires Certified Pharmacy Technician designation within one year of employment.
