Warehouse Inventory Specialist

Wood Personnel is currently hiring for a warehouse cycle counter on 1st shift at a manufacturing facility located in the Franklin, TN area. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years cycle counting experience. This is a temp to hire position with a company that offers excellent benefits once hired on.

Compensation and Shift:

  • $18 an hour with a pay increase once you go permanent with the company
  • Monday - Friday
  • 1st shift: 7am-3:30pm

Warehouse Cycle Counter Skills and Qualification:
  • High school diploma or GED required; associates degree preferred
  • 1-3 years experience in inventory control, warehouse, or distribution center environment
  • Proficiency with warehouse management systems and/or ERP systems (experience with QAD a plus)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other inventory reporting tools
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Ability to work independently and maintain accuracy under tight timelines
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel
  • Must be available to work overtime as needed
  • Detail-oriented
  • Ability to multitask and be a self-starter
  • Ability to work well in a fast pace environment
  • Bilingual is a plus
Warehouse Inventory Specialist Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily and scheduled cycle counts of inventory locations to ensure accuracy between physical and system quantities.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies through research, reporting, and collaboration with shipping, receiving, and production teams.
  • Maintain and update inventory records in QAD to ensure real-time accuracy.
  • Identify root causes of count variances and recommend corrective actions to improve inventory control processes.
  • Monitor and report on inventory adjustments, stock transfers, and returns.
  • Adhere to all company safety, quality, and operational procedures.
  • Partner with warehouse leadership team to continuously improve inventory accuracy and process efficiency.
