Senior Project Manager Healthcare

DesignGroup is currently seeking a Senior Project Manager with extensive healthcare experience leading small to large complex projects to join our team. As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead and engage with clients and teams delivering innovative solutions. You will be trusted as an advisor to existing and new clients and will serve as a leader and mentor of the project management team.

Responsibilities
  • Leadership: Demonstrate and promote the values and culture of DesignGroup; serve as a thought leader and mentor, internally and externally; lead with the DG Mission, vision and values
  • Coaching and development: Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to assigned team members to enhance project management proficiency
  • Project performance: Monitor project performance, mitigate risks, and take action to drive improvements across all phases
  • Relationships:Establish productive working relationships with practice leadership, clients, team members, consultants, and government agencies
  • Firm initiatives: Collaborate with the leadership team on firmwide initiatives
  • Project Management: Oversee all aspects of the project management cycle; establish and maintain project schedules; lead kickoff meetings; communicate with clients, consultants, and team as milestones are met or adjusted
  • Resource planning: Create and monitor staffing plans and projected workloads to meet timelines, budgets, and profitability
  • Quality and design alignment: Ensure project teams support design intent and maintain quality on all projects
  • Documentation: Review documents for quality, coordination, and compliance with deliverables and client standards
  • Scope and budget: Develop and validate project scope, fee, budget, and scope of services during marketing and contract development
  • Contracts and financials: Execute owner and consultant contracts and manage fee negotiations and financial issues with clients
  • Business Development: Procure and manage an average of $2-4M net project revenue per year and generate $1-2M in new contracts annually
  • Client relationships: Maintain strong relationships with existing clients and ensure satisfaction with DesignGroup services
  • Opportunity development: Use market and client intelligence to locate new opportunities, prepositioning, proposals, and interviews
  • Network development: Build a network of current/past clients and industry partners
  • Proposals and contracts: Write RFP responses and negotiate contracts and fees; contribute thought leadership articles for the architecture and construction industry
Qualifications
  • Experience: Minimum 15 years of project management experience in healthcare projects of varying types and complexities, with an approximate value of $100 million
  • Education: Bachelors degree in architecture; Masters degree preferred
  • Expertise: Strong understanding of Project Management/PSMJ Project Management; preferred
  • Licensure: Registered Architect is required
  • Leadership: Thorough knowledge of the entire project delivery process and ability to lead design efforts through all project stages with clients, contractors, and internal teams
  • Communication: Collaborative communication style and strong people skills; ability to participate in interviews and client presentations
  • Software: Proficiency with REVIT, Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), and Microsoft Word & Excel; experience with Unanet or similar tools for reporting and resource planning is preferred
Work Environment and Physical Demands

This job operates in a hybrid model, with at least 3 days a week in a professional office environment. Standard office equipment is used; noise level is usually low to moderate. The physical demands include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision, with the ability to adjust focus. Duties may require standing, walking, sitting, handling objects, reaching, climbing stairs, speaking, and hearing. Ability to lift or move office products and supplies up to 15 pounds.
