Job Title: Neonatology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Join an expanding team at a Level-III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit located in Brooksville, Florida, a growing suburb north of Tampa along Florida's scenic Nature Coast. This facility features a robust 20-bed unit with on-site support from Neonatologists and Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists, providing a comprehensive care environment. With an average daily census of 12-20 and approximately 1600 annual deliveries, this is a wonderful opportunity for experienced professionals in neonatology.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide specialized care in a Level-III NICU setting.
  • Work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals, including Neonatologists and various sub-specialists.
  • Manage patient care for a diverse caseload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Participate in continuous education and training to stay updated on best practices.
  • Flexible scheduling with shifts of 16 hours, with the potential for 24-hour shifts as the unit expands.
Qualifications:
  • Board Certified as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
  • Minimum of a Master s Degree in relevant field.
  • 2+ years of current clinical experience in a NICU setting (not including RN or training).
  • Completion of a Neonatal PA training program is highly preferred for PA candidates.
  • Clean malpractice and licensing history.
License and Certification Requirements:
  • Current Florida licensure (or willingness to obtain).
  • DEA certification required prior to start.
  • Most recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days active).
