Maintenance Technician

We are currently seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team at Swan Luxury Studio Apartments in Tallahassee, FL.
As a Maintenance Technician, you will support the Maintenance Manager in handling day-to-day repairs, preventive maintenance, and upkeep of the property. This is a hands-on role that requires strong troubleshooting skills, reliability, and a commitment to keeping our community in excellent condition.
Key responsibilities include:
- Perform repairs and installations for plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building systems.
- Conduct inspections and routine maintenance on equipment, appliances, and systems.
- Diagnose and resolve issues quickly and professionally.
- Maintain clean, safe, and operational common areas and grounds.
- Respond to urgent calls, including evenings and weekends, when scheduled.
- Complete and document resident requests in a timely manner.
- Provide friendly, professional service when assisting residents.
- Follow safety guidelines, building codes, and company policies.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in apartment, hotel, or property maintenance preferred.
- Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general maintenance required.
- Certifications (HVAC, plumbing, etc.) a plus, but not required.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting ability.
- Reliable, organized, and able to prioritize tasks independently.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Must be able to lift heavy equipment and perform physical tasks.
- High school diploma or equivalent; trade certifications a plus.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
