Accounts Payable Clerk

The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices and payments for the organization. This role ensures vendors are paid accurately and on time while maintaining complete and organized financial records. We are looking for a candidate who is detail oriented, organized, and has a solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
Responsibilities- Review, verify, and process vendor invoices and expense reports.
- Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documentation to ensure accuracy.
- Enter and post invoices into the accounting system in a timely manner.
- Prepare and process payments (checks, ACH, wire transfers) according to company policies.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any billing discrepancies or issues.
- Maintain accurate and organized accounts payable files and documentation.
- Respond promptly to vendor and internal inquiries regarding payments and invoices.
- Support audits by providing requested documentation and reports.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounts payable processes and efficiencies.
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, or equivalent combination of education and work experience preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting preferred.
- Knowledge of general accounting principles, regulatory standards, and compliance requirement.
- Proficiency with Accounting software (QuickBooks).
- Strong experience with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) required.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
