The Resource Registered Nurse servicing the MedSurg departments as a professional practitioner, assumes responsibility and accountability for the application of the nursing process and the delivery of patient care while they are relieving other licensed nurses during break/meal periods. • Documenting interventions, outcomes, patient care, and patient response
• Acting as a resource to staff by providing information, and problem solving to immediately resolve patient care problems
• Developing, implementing, and modifying the patient's plan of care according to the patient's progress
• Demonstrating knowledge of specific disease process treatments, interventions and responses based on age specificity, patient's needs, condition, impairment, or disability
• Reviewing physician orders and accurately transcribe to MAR
• Immediately initiating STAT orders
• Assessing, collaborating, reporting, and coordinating the patients transfer or discharge planning needs and readiness for discharge or transfer to another level of care with the other members of the health care team and patients family/SO

• California RN License with the State Board of Nursing - Required
• Basic Cardiac Life Support - Required
• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing - Required
• Minimum of one-year experience in acute care setting - Required
• 2 years of acute care nursing experience - Preferred
