Join us as a Registered Nurse (RN) at Covenant Living Communities and Services, a 5?star Skilled Nursing Facility located on Mercer Island. With a full?time 12?hour day schedule (MonWed), you will deliver high?quality care to older adults in a 43?bed facility, supporting a daily census of 3840 residents, 60% of whom are short?term/post?acute.
In This Role, The Registered Nurse Will- Provide routine daily direction and monitor the work of LPNs and nursing assistants, ensuring high standards of care and task completion.
- Assist in the orientation of new nursing personnel and reinforce training standards.
- Motivate LPNs and CNAs assigned to the unit.
- Explain nursing procedures and provide assistance to staff to ensure ongoing understanding and training.
- Communicate regularly with the Director of Nursing regarding assessments, observations, and suggestions of problem areas, resident and employee activities, concerns, needs, and conditions.
- Observe and evaluate residents health, mental and emotional conditions and communicate significant changes to appropriate staff; when indicated, notify the physician and family members according to prescribed procedures.
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
- Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state.
- At least one year of nursing experience.
- Devotion to standards and principles of professional nursing.
- Skill in assessing problems, planning and evaluating solutions related to routine supervision of LPNs and nursing assistants and resident needs.
- Understanding, patience and tact in dealing with people.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal, English).
- Genuine compassion for senior adults and the disabled.
- Good human relation skills and the ability to monitor and direct the activities of others.
- Availability to work beyond normal hours, weekends, holidays or other shifts as required.
- $41.83 $52.70 per hour.
