Who is DBI?

Founded in 2002, the DBI team specializes in the evaluation of damaged structures. DBIs construction experts provide independent recommendations and analysis to clients in the insurance and legal industry. The companys mission is to bring clarity to every client served through hard evidence, expertise, and accuracy.

What is the role?

The Senior Project Manager plans, directs and provides oversight of construction consulting projects. This role ensures that DBI goals and objectives are accomplished within schedule and budget parameters, operating effectively with minimal direct supervision.

Primary Job Responsibilities
  • Lead all aspects of revenue generation and project execution for Tampa.
  • Obtain new clients through strategic marketing efforts in partnership with the local Business Development team.
  • Organize and manage a project team, workload, and project schedules.
  • Build effective relationships to drive repeat clients and inspire team member retention.
  • Negotiate and finalize the scope and terms of each project.
  • Resolve complex technical issues as they arise and identify risk exposures.
  • Develop project estimates, bids, and proposals on a timely and efficient basis.
  • Ensure the flow of project information is maintained and documented.
  • Maintain the values of DBI Consultants and uphold professional integrity.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Project Management or related field (preferred).
  • 7 to 10 years of experience in project management within construction and/or property insurance related fields.
  • Willingness to travel 30% of the workweek, including 2?3 team leader events per year.
  • Experience with Xactimate, Bluebeam Revu, and Primavera or MS Projects.
  • Valid drivers license and satisfactory driving record.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.
  • Ability to observe issues and suggest innovative solutions.

  • Technically astute and strategic thinker.
  • Can work in inclement weather and various environmental conditions.

Working Conditions

Work outside at sites of property damage, including disaster or catastrophe locations.

  • May require work in elevated areas such as roofs or scaffolding, requiring physical agility and balance.
  • Busy periods may involve evening, overnight, and weekend travel and work.
  • Full PPE provided for extreme heat, cold, precipitation, noise, vibrations, chemicals, fumes, dust, etc.
  • May work in close quarters, crawl spaces, and narrow areas requiring physical agility.

Physical Activities and Requirements

Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting up to 50 pounds, including ladders, is required.

Close visual acuity is required to prepare reports and perform inspections.
