Warehouse Support

Position Purpose: Provides support in shipping/receiving, warehouse, and material handling to meet the requirements of our customers, internal and external. Maintains a continuous flow of product, resolves issues quickly and according to policy. Maintains a safe work environment, 5S, and supports continuous improvement efforts.

Essential Functions:

  • Maintain Environmental, Health and Safety standards in the workplace.
  • Operate powered industrial trucks.
  • Compare identifying information of counts and weights for incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bill of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
  • Properly load product onto trucks.
  • Receives and routes incoming material to its proper location in the plant.
  • Reviews inventory of product.
  • Assemble wooden or cardboard packing materials.
  • Properly pack cardboard boxes or wooden crates.

Other duties as assigned

Education and Training:

High School Diploma or GED required

Minimum Qualifications:

Related job experience preferred

Self-starter, conscientious, enthusiastic with a positive attitude.

Ability to work with minimal supervision, in a continuously improving environment.

Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Ability to pay close attention to minor details resulting in the production of a superior quality product

Physical Demands:

Constant standing, walking, reaching, balancing, cervical spine motion, lower extremities, and simple grasp.

Frequent use of firm grasping, fine manipulation, and pitching.

Frequent forward bending, squatting, kneeling, and climbing.

Lifting and carrying up to 50lbs. Must be able to utilize overhead cranes

Environmental Conditions:

Non-temperature controlled manufacturing facility

Must wear eye, ear, and foot protection

Behavioral Traits:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong attention to detail

Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, ask questions for clarification, and take initiative

Must be able to work effectively in a team

Strong analytical and technical problem-solving ability

Ability to complete multiple tasks effectively
