POSITION OVERVIEW

Were looking for a Supply Chain & Logistics Contractor to step in and keep our operational engine running smoothly during a period of heavy activity. This role is highly practical and suited for someone who thrives on organization, takes initiative, and can shift easily between taskswhether thats receiving shipments, preparing outbound orders, updating tracking documents, managing trade show shipment schedules, or keeping inventory records precise and up to date.

KEY DUTIES

  • Support the development, refinement, and day-to-day execution of logistics and supply chain activities.
  • Handle the preparation, packing, and shipment of Callisto units, acting as the liaison between internal teams and our shipping partners.
  • Organize all logistics tied to trade show participation, including coordinating booth materials, crate movements, and shipment timing.
  • Receive inbound items: open packages, check that materials match expectations, assess basic condition, and record counts.
  • Maintain detailed inventory filesadjust stock levels, update item locations, and track status changes.
  • Keep the Asana inventory board current by generating tasks, assigning ownership, and monitoring progress for all logistics-related work.
  • Procure shipping supplies, crating components, consumables, and other essential materials; anticipate when new items or replenishments will be needed.
  • Order new crates for Callisto units as required and coordinate with vendors to manage timelines.
  • Create and monitor purchase orders for supplies, crates, and logistics services, ensuring each is properly tracked and documented.
  • Perform periodic inventory verifications by comparing physical counts against records, identifying inconsistencies, and escalating issues when necessary.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in logistics, supply chain operations, inventory management, or a related environment.
  • Strong proficiency with spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets) and workflow/task management tools (e.g., Asana).
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to juggle numerous tasks at once.
  • Familiarity with shipping requirements, crating procedures, and vendor coordination.
  • Strong communicator who can work effectively with both internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Highly proactive mindset with the ability to identify gaps and take initiative without prompting.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Background in a startup or fast-paced manufacturing setting.
  • Knowledge of basic procurement procedures and PO management.
  • Experience maintaining inventory accuracy through cycle counts or physical audits.
  • Prior involvement in planning or executing logistics for trade shows.
