Work alongside the owners at this family-feel commercial general contractor. All projects are local to St. Louis - NO TRAVEL.
About Our ClientOur client is a mid-sized commercial General Contractor located near Maryland Heights, MO. They work in a wide variety of commercial markets, primarily focused on Tenant Improvement projects below $5M in value but they are currently chasing larger Ground Up work.
Job DescriptionCompletes materials "take-offs" and establishes cost estimates. Reviews project proposal, drawings and plans to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project. Develops relationships with subcontractors and maintains lists of subcontractors that perform quality work. Confers with project staff to outline work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority. Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget. Prepares daily, weekly, monthly schedule to support and preserve the Contract Project Schedule. Reviews status reports prepared by project personnel and modifies schedules or plans as required. Dictates or prepares project reports for management, client, or others. Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.

The Successful ApplicantA successful applicant should have:
- A degree in civil engineering, architectural engineering, mechanical engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience at a Commercial General Contractor
- Experience with estimating is a plus
- Strong tenure with previous employers.
- Strong communication skills
Competitive salary package, ranging from $60,000 to $85,000. Fully Covered Healthcare. Bonus earning potential. Vehicle Allowance. PTO.
