Travel Nursing Job Details Job Title: Cardiac Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) Assignment Type: Travel Nursing Location: Englewood, Ohio 45415 (Greater Dayton Area) Start Date: January 5, 2026 End Date: April 6, 2026 Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 3x12-Hour Days (07:00 - 19:30) Hours per Week: 36 Unit: Progressive Care Unit (PCU2), 39-bed unit Patient Ratio: 1:5 (up to 1:6) Floating: May float to Main Campus (Dayton) and South Campus (Centerville), all within 15 miles Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend and holiday coverage required Registered Nurse Qualifications Active RN license (any state; compact nursing licenses accepted) Minimum 1 year of recent experience in cardiac stepdown, progressive care, or telemetry nursing Current ACLS and BLS certifications NIHSS certification preferred EPIC charting experience required Proficient in reading and interpreting telemetry strips IV start and telemetry skills required Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered) Must complete EKG/Dysrhythmia exam within 72 hours of contract signing Ability to float between campuses as needed Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult patients with cardiac, medical-surgical, and advanced care needs Monitor and interpret telemetry and cardiac rhythms Administer medications and manage IVs, including cardiac drips (no titration) Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, etc.) Care for patients with CHF, COPD, sepsis, AFib, chest pain, TIA, and other cardiac diagnoses Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC electronic health records Follow infection control and isolation precautions Participate in unit-based procedures and respond to rapid response situations Float to other campuses within 15 miles as required Discover the welcoming community of Englewood, Ohio—renowned for its friendly neighborhoods, beautiful parks, and proximity to Dayton’s healthcare jobs and cultural attractions.
