Job Description & Requirements Specialty: CTICU - Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 48 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardio Thoracic ICU position requiring a CT or compact RN license and three years of cardiac ICU experience. Responsibilities Work in a high-acuity Cardio Thoracic ICU within a Level I Trauma Center Short term acute care hospital setting Average nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:2 for both day and night shifts Night shifts, 3x12s required Every other weekend is required Uses Swan-Ganz monitoring and Epic charting system Floating within scope to meet facility needs is required Responsible for caring for complex post-cardiothoracic surgical and critically ill patients Pre-employment modules are required and must be completed prior to start Every other weekend and holiday coverage required First-time travelers accepted if experienced in Cardio Thoracic ICU or critical care RTO greater than seven days requires facility approval Team-oriented environment at a large academic medical center Requirements Active CT or compact RN license; pending licenses accepted if application is in process Minimum three years of recent cardiac ICU experience required At least one year of Level I trauma center experience required Current NIHSS, ACLS, and BLS certifications required Experience and proficiency with Swan-Ganz monitoring required Flu vaccine required with no declinations allowed COVID-19 vaccination and booster required with religious or medical exemptions only No local candidates; must live more than 75 miles from the facility Must not have been a permanent staff member at the facility within the past two years Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-635401.
