Certifications
  • Required (IAT Level II)

Experience
  • 6 years of system administration or IT support experience in a DoD environment.
  • Working knowledge of Windows Server, virtualization, and patch management tools.
  • Familiarity with STIG application, RMF principles, and vulnerability scanning.
  • Strong troubleshooting and communication skills to support end users and teams.
Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day administration and support for servers, desktops, and network-connected systems.
  • Assist in installation, configuration, and maintenance of operating systems and applications.
  • Support Active Directory user administration, group management, and permissions control.
  • Perform system patching, updates, and antivirus monitoring under senior administrator guidance.
  • Monitor and respond to system alerts and incidents ensuring timely escalation as needed.
  • Maintain system documentation, user guides, and asset inventories.
  • Assist in backup and recovery operations, ensuring data protection and integrity.
  • Participate in RMF compliance activities, ensuring systems meet security baselines.
  • Apply STIGs and DoD configuration standards to maintain security posture.
  • Collaborate with Help Desk and IA teams for issue resolution and compliance checks.
  • Support hardware installation, software deployment, and routine system maintenance.
  • Contribute to continuity of operations (COOP) and periodic recovery tests.
