Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Estimator with a robust background in both structural steel and concrete structures to join a reputable general contractor in Phoenix, Arizona. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in our pre-construction phase, responsible for providing accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for a variety of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Estimation Expertise: Develop detailed cost estimates for structural steel and concrete construction projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness in line with project requirements.
  • Bid Preparation: Lead the preparation of competitive bids by collaborating with project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather essential information.
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough risk assessments and value engineering analyses to identify potential cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality and safety standards.
  • Project Collaboration: Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project specifications and provide timely, informed estimates.
  • Market Research: Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and material costs to maintain a competitive edge and contribute to strategic decision-making.
  • Proposal Development: Contribute to the development of comprehensive proposals, ensuring alignment with client expectations and project goals.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Lead Estimator with expertise in both structural steel and concrete construction.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard estimating software and tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Thorough understanding of construction industry regulations and best practices.
