VHS is looking for an OB/GYN Hospitalist for Sedalia, MO
Program Details Program Start Date (Proposed): May 2024
OB/GYNs to Provide GYN Coverage: Yes
OB/GYNs Required to Perform Circumcisions: No
OB/GYNs Needed for First Assist: Yes
Backup Available to the MHAS Physicians: Yes; General Surgeons available.
2 to 3 Providers in clinic daily.
Program Objectives:
Provide clinic and L&D support to ensure consistent high-quality care.
Expand access to care for women in the community by providing 24/7 quality driven, safe, and effective care for the community.Hospital Details
- MHAS Providers in clinic M-T, 8a-5p, and on-call after hours.
- Only on call Saturday and Sunday.
- Total Hospital Deliveries (monthly avg.): 38
- Total Hospital Deliveries (annual avg.): 456
- Total Hospital/Clinic GYN Surgery Volume (monthly avg.): 55
- Total Hospital/Clinic GYN Surgery Volume (annual avg.): 661
- Nursery Level 2
- Anesthesia: On-Call 24/7
- MFM: Ability to consult MFM, but no telemedicine service
- Fetal Monitoring System: GE
- EMR used in Hospital: Meditech
- EMR used in Clinic: Meditech Web Ambulatory
- Current OR days for Clinicians: Monday AM, Wednesday AM, Friday
