Senior Bookkeeping Accountant

Our client is a well-established remote accounting firm specializing in daily bookkeeping and financial management for multi-unit businesses. We're looking for a Senior Accountant who can take ownership of the full accounting cycle for multiple clients. If you thrive in a fully remote environment, are confident in managing deadlines, and bring strong communication and technical skills to the table, this could be the right fit.
What you will be doing:
- Perform daily client bookkeeping tasks, including A/R, A/P, sales, cash receipts, and disbursements.
- Complete month-end closing, reporting, and processing for clients.
- Reconcile monthly bank, credit card, and vendor statements.
- Manage and reconcile balance sheet accounts, including petty cash, payroll liabilities, and loans.
- Process and post client payroll accurately and on schedule.
- Prepare financial reports, conduct analysis, and provide recommendations to clients.
Sr. Accountant requirements:
- 5+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping and accounting experience.
- Strong QuickBooks Online and Excel skills are required.
- Must have experience with multi-client or multi-unit accounting environments.
- Previous accounting support for trades industries in a multi-client environment (plumbing, electrical, construction, landscaping, etc.).
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Strong tenure is required. 2+ years per role preferred.
- End-to-end transactional bookkeeping, plus strong financial reporting and analysis abilities.
- Familiarity with billable hours and time-tracking for clients.
- AI and Technology Proficiency: This role requires the regular use of AI-enabled tools to enhance productivity and support decision-making. Candidates should demonstrate comfort with learning new software, adapting workflows to incorporate AI assistance, and following company guidelines on ethical and responsible AI use.
