Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background and demonstrate exceptional patient care skills. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients across various settings. You will collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care while ensuring adherence to best practices and regulatory standards.
Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history and physical examinations.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Administer medications and perform medical procedures as required.
- Utilize medical imaging techniques to assist in diagnosis and treatment.
- Provide emergency medicine support in critical situations.
- Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care post-hospitalization.
- Perform cardiac catheterization and manage patients requiring dialysis or tube feeding.
- Maintain accurate patient records using eClinicalWorks or similar electronic health record systems.
- Stay informed about workers' compensation law as it pertains to patient care.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:
- Proficiency in medical imaging techniques.
- Experience in emergency medicine is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with discharge planning processes.
- Ability to perform cardiac catheterization procedures.
- Experience in managing patients requiring dialysis or tube feeding.
- Proficient in medication administration practices.
- Knowledge of workers' compensation law relevant to healthcare.
- Background in medical-surgical nursing is preferred.
