Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and job orders to determine machine operations.
• Select proper tooling, fixtures, and machine settings based on material and job specifications.
• Inspect parts throughout production using precision measuring instruments like micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Maintain tight tolerances and quality standards while meeting production timelines.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot issues as needed to minimize downtime.
• Record production data accurately, including work completed and materials used.
• Work closely with supervisors and quality teams to resolve production or quality concerns.
• Follow all safety protocols, including proper PPE usage and safe machine operation.
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and in line with lean manufacturing or 5S practices.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required; technical school training or machining certification preferred.
• Machine Operator, Machinist, Set-up/Programming experience is preferred but not required.
• Blueprint/Schematic reading, shop math, and use of precision measurement tools.
• Understanding of different metals, materials, speeds, feeds, and machining best practices.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to work independently, and solid troubleshooting skills.
• Basic computer literacy for machine operation and production documentation.
• Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for long periods.
• Flexible to work overtime or multiple shifts based on production needs.
• Reliable, safety-conscious, and committed to continuous improvement.
