Required Education: Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college program or technical school or nursing diploma

Recommended Education: Bachelor's Degree Nursing

Required Work Experience: 1 of the following

Recommended Work Experience: Demonstrated performance of 100% at the previous level and score within documented RN II/III levels via ACHieve career ladder for internal employees, Nursing - 1 year of experience

Required Certifications: Registered Nurse (RN) license - Arkansas or Compact State

Recommended Certifications: Certification specific to patient population

Required Skills:

  • Demonstrates a competent level of understanding and application of the AC Model of Patient and Family-Centered care.
  • Consistently provides safe and effective nursing care at a competent level.
  • Competently assess patients and provide developmentally appropriate and culturally sensitive care.
  • Analyzes information to identify problems and outcomes, evaluates variations and patterns in patient/family data and recognizes implications to care.
  • Provides individualized patient and family education at competent levels.
  • Advances evidence-based nursing practice using best available evidence, patient's and family's preferences and values, and team's clinical expertise at a competent level.
  • Exemplifies and supports the AC Professional Practice Model.
  • Actively participates in the improvement of patient care, nursing practice and the work environment.
  • Accountable for the quality of patient care by initiating advocacy actions for patients, families and AC team as needed.
  • Competently mentors, coaches, and teaches healthcare professionals and students.
