Job Description

We are looking for a talented Assistant Project Manager (QC) to join our dedicated team at our office located in Emeryville, California. Project located in Vacaville, CA

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager (QC) in coordinating all contractual requirements, design drawings, and project specifications that include, but are not limited to:
  
  • Project Coordination
  • Procurement of sub-contracts and purchase orders
  • Construction Billings & Cash Flow Projects
  • Job Cost Analysis
  • Project Schedule Analysis and Updates
  • Meeting Minutes and Documentation
  • Project Monthly Report Generation
  • Change Management Reports
  • Application for Payment Verification
  • Contract Administration
  • Punch-List Management
  • Warranty Review
  • As-Built Document
    
• Assist with activities of Project Engineers, Construction Managers, and Site Superintendents on assigned projects.
• Coordinate resources to achieve project goals.
• Manage client interaction on assigned projects and promote positive relationships.
• Generate project scopes of work and communicate to the project team.
• Assist Procurement Manager with preparation of Bid Package documentation, Pre-Bids/Walkthroughs, Bid Review, and Analysis.
• Maintain project schedules.
• Work closely with Construction Manager and Site Superintendent to monitor performance against the target schedule and implement corrective actions against nonconformances.
• Monitor and report project costs, including values committed, forecast to commit, allowances for growth, and actually expended.
• Ensure that field events, conditions, exceptions, and issues are fully reflected in cost reports.
• Work with Project Services to manage project costs and exposures.
• Assist with oversight of site safety for assigned projects and coordinate with Construction Manager, Superintendents, and safety resources, including subconsultants, to establish a site safety program, monitor site safety, and correct nonconformance.
• Process piping experience preferred.
• Other duties as assigned.
  

Salary

The salary offered for this role is between $87,000 and $116,000, but the actual salary offered is dependent on experience, skill set, and education.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Construction Management or a related discipline, or an equivalent technical degree.
• 4-6 years of experience in Engineering, Project Delivery, or a related discipline.
  

Physical Demands

• Must be able to stand, sit, and walk for prolonged periods.
• Must possess the ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl as required.
• Must be able to lift and move objects weighing up to 15 pounds.
  

Work Environment

• This position will have 5% travel, or as required by the assigned project.
• Position may be assigned to the client site for an extended period.
• Overnight travel or staying in the city of the Clients location is possible, depending on the assignment.

• Position will visit construction sites and will be required to take site safety training and adhere to site safety rules.
• Must have access to reliable transportation.
• Must have the ability to travel and commute on a daily or routine basis.
• Must be able to work in both indoor and outdoor environments, which may include exposure to varying weather.
  

Safety

• This position is a safety-sensitive position.
• The employee is designated for field work and attends activities at client sites where they work in construction, process, packaging, manufacturing, research, or other "non-administrative" areas.
