Position Summary
The Director is responsible for integrating their department's services (Pre-op, Post-op, Inpatient Surgery, Outpatient Surgery, PACU, Sterile Processing, Special Procedures, Scheduling, Pain Clinic) with the hospital's primary functions. The director coordinates and integrates services within their department(s) and with other departments. The director develops and implements policies and procedures to guide and support the provision of services. The director recommends staff requirements to provide care/service and ensures staff qualifications and competence meet patient care and non-patient care needs. The director coordinates resources for orientation, in-service training, and continuing education of all department staff. The director continually assesses and improves department performance and maintains quality control programs. The director recommends space and other resources and participates in selecting outside resources for the department(s). The director serves as an available resource for patients, staff, physicians and administration.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required. Master's Degree preferred.
- 1 to 2 years of experience preferred.
- Active AZ or Compact RN License required.
