Park Maintenance Assistant

The Town of Holly Springs Parks & Recreation Department is hiring a part-time park maintenance assistant to join the park maintenance team. This position performs a variety of skilled tasks to maintain Town parks, athletic fields, and greenways.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform grounds maintenance including mowing, trimming, edging, and blowing.
- Line athletic fields for practices and games.
- Assist with construction and repair projects such as fencing, boardwalks, and trails.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and motorized equipment.
- Support setup and cleanup for Town events and programs.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (some college preferred).
- Valid North Carolina driver's license.
- At least two years of experience in park maintenance, landscaping, or related work.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Weekend shifts may be required for events or tournaments.
Position Details
- Part-time, up to 19 hours per week (1,000 hours per year).
- Typical schedule: MondayFriday, 7:00 a.m.3:30 p.m.
- Pay range: $12.00$20.00 per hour, depending on qualifications.
